Come on. He called a time out! He didn't declare war on Spain or ravage some poor mediteranean country to get control of the olive market. Give it a rest.
Was it necessary? Who knows. The outcome probably wouldn't have changed but is it worth getting into a stink over? Definitely not. It was a time out in what had been a close game for the better part of 4 quarters. Lets get some perspective people.
Wasn't Larry Browne recently criticized heavily for NOT calling a timeout in the semi-finals of the NBA playoffs this year when it cost him a game? He just can't win.

Well I don't see it as upsetting as shinyam feels it is but it's poor ettiquette. I'm not a huge sports guy (although I enjoy basketball) but it's rubbing you're nose it it. It would be like substituting a hitter in baseball when you're already up 10 runs in the 8th inning.
