Just a heads up that the email viruses being sent out now seem to be getting clever about how they try and have you to open an attachment. The emails appear to be coming from your internet service provider, and are addressed to your email account. These emails often take a second look to know they are scams.

Some telling me my mail service will be shut down for a few days, and to continue to get access to mail I have to install a program.

>>Hello user of XXXXXX.ca e-mail server, Our main mailing server will be temporary unavaible for next two days, to continue receiving mail in these days you have to configure our free auto-forwarding service.

Please, read the attach for further details.
In order to read the attach you have to use the following password: 35688.
Have a good day,
The XXXXXXX.ca team

Some seem to be from my internet service provider telling me I’m sending out emails with viruses attached.

>>Our antivirus software has detected a large ammount of viruses outgoing from your email account, you may use our free anti-virus tool to clean up your computer software.

Dozens of these helpful patches.

>>Dear friend , use this Internet Explorer patch now!
There are dangerous virus in the Internet now!

Yeah

I got this same email. On my blackberry no less. Not very many people have this address. It took me quite a long hard look at it to finally get it down for sure that it was a virus. I scaned the file and that clinched it. It has the W32.Beagle.A@mm virus.

FLMAO.... just can't help it. BTW I use Mac as well as PC.....LOL

I have been getting similar emails from an European site which I subscribe to. Guess lots of folks there got infected as well.

Thanks for the headups. Time to purge.

My mac matches the drapes just fine THANKS!

Althought the exe. files don't affect Mac users these emails are starting to become a pain in the ass! I am starting to recieve them from the admin at my own website, problem is I am the admin! Very creative, indeed. I too, use PC and Mac, but I only use PC to cross reference my work.

This is all part of a much bigger political agenda...

Same here....

Yes getting them form admin. is clever....last week I got some from a woman in company I work with....it had an attachment... just now got one from admin. with Netsky (my anti-virus deleted it right away)....W32 is also very frequent.
