I'm looking to buy a classic car or two. Ideally I'd like to find someplace local, either a dealership or resource, that is reputable.

Anyone have any input?

Thanks

andrew-g hit the nail on the head. Legendary is *the* place to go if you are looking for the cream of the crop. Peter Klutt is an expert and is incredibly connected in the muscle car world. I remember two summers ago being up in his showroom and seeing a 1970 Hemi Cuda with 37 original miles on it, fully documented. They are at the 401 and James Snow Parkway, in Milton.

Call RM Classic Autos in Chatham, Ontario. They are the largest classic car auctioneers in North America. The prices are absolutely outrageous but the quality of the cars is non-pareil.

They have an auction in Florida each year and one in Toronto. They also cars on hand in their showroom.

You can also call Kruse Auctioneers in Auburn, Illinois. They also handle the good stuff.

Both of these places generally handle automobiles in the $50,000 U.S. and up category. No clunkers here. The models range from 1950's Jaguars through to Duesenbergs, Cords and Auburns. The high end is in the millions.
