I'm getting really pissed at all this Craigslist crap. I'd say more than half of the daily posts are B&S. All the Asian ads are B&S. This chick seems to be in Burlington and Cambridge on the same day. Man would I love to be able to do that. I could double my hourly rate. Woohoo, I could even be in three places. I could do two service calls at once and be gettin my rocks off if someone would answer their bloody phone.
Kittens has had some so so reviews....Butterfly seems to have gone back into a cocoon (and that's a good thing from what I hear) and what the hell is with this "Temp Agency"??? You have to be refereed?? If I'm a new business and I work by referral only how does that work when I don't have any customers?
That's my rant for the day.
Thanks.
Bye.

And we are surprised with this why?

CL is a scam for the most part.

The trick is to get that "diamond in the rough" every once in a while.

I agree with everything here. There are a few good ladies out there, you just have to actually TRY them and not let others do the dirty work you're too afraid of.

It also shows just how many guys DO look at the ads. For some it's a direct turn off the way the ad is written, picture, or hits on tineye. I've always recommended that the girl should have an incall location, cell # NOT attributed to the real name, and a website for a more professional look. Not every girl is able to have such things, but it does help weed out the ones just after money.

For now CL is free to advertise, but there seems to be an increase of how many times a girl's posts are listed in one day....which is really annoying to read the same crap over and over. It'd be at least better if they deleted the old ad and then posted it fresh instead of guys reading the same (or sometimes not) information more than once a day.

That's just one potential reason. My experience has found that some of the worst ads on CL are because the girls are too young, immature, and inexperienced to market themselves better - even though in terms of skills as a SP, they are pound for pound as good as the agency SP's, in some cases better. But undoubtedly, i have had bad experiences with both agencies and CL, like you said - a lot of it comes down to trial and error. And while I am willing to share some of the successes I have had, often I am reluctant to as well.

One line of thinking is that it was I who put the $150 on the line in a gamble, so if an SP pays off - why share that intel for free? If I bet $150 on black jack or roulette at Brantford and won, would I share the payout for free?

Sometimes, perhaps, but not very often. I am sure many other Terbites adopt a similar view.

This is a well known fallacy and psychological phenomena.

There have been experiments where test subjects were offered a choice: receive some amount of money (say $20) while another person earns more than them (say $40) or receive a little less money (say $15) so that the other person receives much less money (say $5). Most people end up choosing the latter scenario despite the fact that the bottom line is that they make less money...

I think the point of the experiment was to show how much more we value relative perception than absolute effect. We'd rather earn more than our peers than to simply earn more... so much so that we'd even sacrifice our earnings to do it!

Unless you were planning on selling your knowledge of good CL ladies, your unwillingness to share such information is a logical fallacy. You don't stand to lose anything by sharing this information but you're unwilling to share it 'cause the information cost you and you don't want to help your peers (or the SP since I'm sure she'd be happy to get the work!)...

Your motive could be that once everyone knows about her, she'll be booked up and you won't be able to repeat.
