No loss, not having the Mirage. It was a in-your-face eyesore and basically empty of patrons for quite a while.
I am sure that Velvet Lounge will turn to a dance club in the future, also. Non-smoking, drinking and driving, plus low mileage / high costs are finishing these places off.

VL, most likely at the end of this summer, downgrading the strip bar to a smaller space from what I heard.

Last time I was at VL, they had the downstrairs closed. I went to the second floor area and I was the only person there for about 2 hrs. Even the stripper looked bored on stage. But I think the outside patio was just about to open, at that time.
The only SC that might go on the upswing is Nikki's with all the development in that area. Of course the land might soon be more valuable than the club that's on it.

Dunno. It's far enough out of Woodstock that I bet it's gonna be more profitable to sell overpriced beer to horny Toyota workers than it is to sell out.
