Christmas shopping virus?

The computer of an acquaintance of mine has apparently sent this message out to their entire email list:

Hi
How are you going? I ordered one white 3gs apple iphone from that
links, www.forayt.com <http://www.forayt.com/> Now,I've got my
new iphone after i paid several days it's genuine and brand new,Iike
it toooo much,They have many other items, If you would like to get one
present for christmas, can check it

I've never heard of a computer virus whose sole purpose seems to be to promote a commercial product, at Xmas time, of all things.

I was just wondering how wide spread this computer virus is. Are there other terbites out there that have received this?

I've received that one too. Knew it was a virus/spam right away. I laughed as the idiot who wrote it made a typo......"Hi, how are you going"???? LOL
