Christmas Party: Treasures or Upper Brass

I can't believe it but it's true... Christmas is just around the corner. We have to get this matter settled and get organized. So here goes. Kathleen was gracious enough to organize last year's party at Treasures. It was a great success. Hats off and thanks to BadKat. Wherever we have the party this year we all I'm sure look forward to seeing you. I organized the previous two Christmas parties at The Rail. Now here is the deal. Treasures for others and me is too far out of the way. Car pools don't work for me. Some of the ladies last year complained that the dancers at Treasures were not very nice to them. Brass Rail... some found the bouncers downstairs a little rude. After we moved upstairs though to the Upper Brass... it was all-good. As for another venue other then a SC... I'm not even going to go there. Talk about it or go to the party. If someone else wants to organize a second party in between Christmas and New Years as has been suggested by BabyFace... then that's all good. So here's the question... Treasures or Upper Brass... Thursday Dec. 11th. Please vote as soon as possible... next Thursday... one week from today the winner will be declared and the party will be on!

Thursday Dec. 11th...

My thinking in choosing the 11th is that the 18th is only one week from Xmas... most will be shopping or sticking close to family. Also in looking over the other thread... most prefer the 11th. Like I say... sorry that sadly we cannot accomadate every body. In past years these party threads went on and on and on with a thousand different suggestions. The best thing to do is just pick a date and time and do it. The last two Christmas parties we had over 200 people came. Sorry to anyone who can't make it. Maybe you can make another party another time.

Hey, if I have to sleep with anyone's mother, its going to be Goober's Mom because she seems to get pretty good reviews here.....

However, Dec 11th is the ONE day that is an absolute impossibility.... grrrrrr!

I voted no, won't be there. I've been to three Terb parties, two at SC's and one at a non SC (Halloween) I much preferred the halloween party, and the fedback I had from the ladies I talked to there was that they did, too. If there is a non SC party, count me in for that. I can go to a SC any night of the week that I want to get dances ... but if I want to meet a lot of ladies from the board in one place and perhaps even dance with them, that gets my vote!

Is there some reason that it's on a week night and not a friday or saturday night? Just thinking that it would be easier on a weekend for those who have day jobs.

Thanks for your support Kathleen. Glad you'll be able to make it. Happy that you like SC venue. I knew that having a SC venue would cause a bit of concern, as some ladies prefer a non-SC location. I believe however that 'some' is the key word here. Most don't mind or actually like a SC location.

Sorry MM, BabyFace and all others who cannot make it on the 11th. To make another thread/poll re the date would just create more confusion and complications etc. So I thought as stated before to 'just do it'. I am however more then willing to meet up with you, as I am sure a few others will be as well when you are in town. We could have a get together on the 18th.(has to be at The Rail though) Won't be a huge party... but I am sure more then a few would show. It is Xmas after all.

As per the conversation(s) as to ladies comfort level at SC. All the parties I been to so far at SCs there were more ladies from the board and others then I could meet or talk too. At least 20 or more at the last two parties I went to. It's funny how the (IMO) the protests are heard louder then the complements. I think the majority were OK with or even beyond that enjoyed very much having party at SC. Or just enjoyed the party period.

Last but not least… Where are all my Upper Brass fans?!

Just have your own par-tay at the Upper Brass.

The only reason Upper Brass is better is because it`s on the subway line.

- Much more appropriate for a terb par-tay in comparison to Upper Brass

- Much nicer club

- Is the club where 2sexxxy and I pretended we were part of Tommy`s stag

Seems to me the parking is free as well...that's the big difference for me (that and the fact that its stumbling distance to home).
