I read her wikipage background. Like there appears to be a weird hidden agenda.
Below is a quote from BBC and I couldn't find a Canadian website about it at my time I was searching.
I swear these Politicians and ups should only server two terms and no Gov't Job connection after they leave for 6 years at all in anyway, so there is no money or "costly political gimmicks ".

In his own statement, Carney thanked Freeland "for her extraordinary service in the Cabinet of Canada's federal government over the last decade".
He added that he asked her to serve as Canada's new Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, in addition to her role as a Liberal MP.
