I came across a website which referred me to a twitter account entitled: TruthabtChina. Things China doesn't want you to know.

It showed several tweets of films showing Chinese police welding doors shut to keep people in their apartments during the latest lockdown there. I hope Ford doesn't get the same idea here.

Why do you think that their virus numbers are down so much compared to other countries. They are a Communist country. If you don't obey, you can be jailed or even shot. You won't get a ticket and be able to go to court to fight it. I have been there. Obey the rules or ELSE.

Some things they do well and some things they don’t.

Why not look at the things that worked well for them like rapid building remote hospitals and testing centres to separate and isolate covid contamination.

Why can’t we use a smart logistical systems that track ICU capacities to stay proactive and allocated resources to deploy rapid modular hospitals where needed, with rapid testing techniques such as test any new patients when the arrive like to ER and frontline medical staff before and after each shift. Although it might be better to completely isolate covid from main hospitals. How about senior homes?

You know it’s not rocket science ffs

Saw a news report last week where the reporter travelled there to cover a story.
Apparently anyone entering the country by plane is put in solitary quarantine rooms and you are attached with a monitoring bracelet (much like the house arrest ankle bracelets used here in Canada).
You must remain in your room while food and provisions are brought to you three times a day for 21 days.
Anyone violating this quarantine is then sealed in a room for an extra 21 days, this was most likely what the Tweets the OP was referring to were about.

But this 14 day quarantine is a good approach.

Thailand is also doing something similar so it doesn’t fuck up their economy and livelihood

Now the question is how far are they willing to take it.

This video shows a good system for visitors to Thailand...looks like Thailand has 369 daily cases and 66.56 million population. How much is the GTA population and how many daily cases do we have and what’s happening with our lockdowns...yeah that’s what I thought.

They are getting charged in Toronto and it's about time. They should throw them in jail 14 days at a time whenever at a rally.

Trudeau could've mandated something similar (mandatory 14 day quarantine at the traveler's expense) for anyone flying to Canada. But he didn't, because a weak individual.

The cost for a quarantine room is supplied by the Chinese government but food is 150 Yuan a day or about 25 US dollars for three meals a day, so before you land you have to pay 3150 Yuan.

I was on Twitch the other day(yeah I know, don't laugh) and there was a girl doing a live stream from a restaurant in a mall in Taiwan. Plenty of people, not one mask in sight. Must be nice, but it looks like Covid is done in Taiwan.

Alt of Asian countries were much more diligent than the western world. Citizens took it seriously and weren't afraid of contact tracing through a phone app.
