My first thought was..."come on people these are chickens" but after watching that and reading what happened i was disgusted and pissed off! I wanted to get to West Virg and slam those bastards against the wall, step on their heads and twist their noses off! KFC/Taco Bell are owned by Pepsi i think...one other large company also. All never to be purchased by me again...not that i was a big fan to begin with. Sickening really...BTW Goober why do you hate PETA? just curious if you want to share

Mojo: I hate any and all extremist groups. PETA borders on terrorism with their ad campaigns and scare tactics.

And I like steak.

LOL...i love steak too but i agree that its taken too far alot of the time. Groups like PETA are usually started with good intentions and do have good thoughts at the very basic level, however things do get outta control and extremists make me look at groups like that in the reverse way they intend. But i still want to slam those bastard chicken abusers against a wall.

Show me all those and ill be pissed at them too. Ignorance may be bliss but KFC must know who their suppliers are and until i see a press release that KFC has gotten rid of this particular supplier, they ARE responsible and it is more than acceptable to boycott. 40 IQ and poor conditions dont excuse this. KFC will need to do something. Your "oh well it happens" rationalization doesnt cut it for me. Did fermans employees abuse or kill their products? We "demand" our products but we dont demand the treatment as seen in the video. This thread has huge potential to get very heated and carried away. Its a sensitive topic.

To be honest...

As much as I want to be considered evil, watching that video was indeed sickening.

I actually don't eat at KFC, or drink Pepsi - but now, I have even more reason not to consider it. I think once 20/20 or a show like that airs this video, KFC will probably go on the offensive, and fire this "subcontractor" to the company.

The CEO probably thought things like this happen - but really, it is PETA that helps the CEO actually regulate his company.

US priorities, priorities, priorities........

"While children are being tortured in Iraq, the headline story on CNN is about the torturing of chickens by KFC suppliers. What has happened to this country’s priorities? Where is its conscience and soul?"

Some food, for thought.............

Absolutely sickening footage... Those workers really must be imbeciles (IQs below 60?). Uneducated, poor, and pissed off because they have such shitty jobs. And they're taking out their anger on these poor chickens who have endured hell just so we can have some shitty fried chicken.

I hate KFC anyway, Popeye's is ten times better. I will never buy KFC again after seeing this.

Yes it does, incognito. I don't think I need to say more. If you can't see what's wrong with stomping/smashing live chicken, then there is no point in trying to persuade you. YOU are upset because we are outraged? Jeez.

OMG...its chicken for god's sake. I don't think it had any aspirations to become a doctor or musician. Does it have to be treated ethically before it gets slaughtered for human consumption? My god, even the chicken have rights. This upsets me.
I see no reason to terrify and torture the poor animal.

I know we live in a cruel world, we really do, but it doesn't have to be any worse than it has to be.

Do something about it!

I am hardly the "activist-type" however after viewing the footage I felt compelled to voice my utter disgust at what KFC/Pepsi has allowed to occur.

Regardless of whether or not the behaviour of this supplier's employees was known to KFC, KFC must bear responsibility. It is KFC's responsibility to ensure that their suppliers meet a strict criteria in regards to health regulations and to the ethical treatment of the chicken they supply.

I have not eaten KFC or Taco Bell in the past ten years but this will only guarantee that I would not consider consuming their products in the future until I hear of strict regulations being implemented.

Although I am an admitted Diet Pepsi/ Diet Dr. Pepper junkie - I will no longer be purchasing Pepsi products.

Everyone who views this and feels disgust should write to KFC (link is provided on PETA's website). I already have emailed both Pepsi and KFC, as well I have emailed the link to everyone in my contact list.

It's the small part we can play to have our voices heard.

I will continue to eat at KFC, I think there are too many people harming each other in the world to be concerned about chickens.

That being said, could there be any worse job than working on a kill floor, with those morons? I have been in a bunch of meat plants, and it is horrible, it is loud, cold, smells bad, you get covered with gore, you work with idiots, etc.

The ones who should be accountable are the ones doing the abuse. KFC the company can't watch over every little detail, like a chicken farm in the middle of Iowa.

Sadly this particular farm just-so-happens to be KFC's "supplier of the year" and is run by the second largest chicken manufacturing company in the US.

I don't feel comfortable that a giant of a fast-food chain like KFC doesn't pay attention to the details of what happens in their suppliers' slaughterhouses.

And of all slaughter houses..... it's their friggn' star supplier!! :(
You'd think they'd have a clue....

Do they not monitor heath-related crieria?

Does that mean it's okay?

There are other issues facing our world; yes; but that does not justify over-looking/ not caring about this particular issue and other "non-priority" concerns.

This is still important despite the hundreds of other worries we have.
