Despite the decision to move ahead with a different name, the team again said there was still no consensus with the Inuit on the name Eskimos.

So if the Inuit didn't have a problem with it then why change it? Oh yeah I forgot because the white fragile woke mob did. Check.

Anyways I think ELK is a good substitute. That probably won't fly with the wokesters though because the EE would still be there.

Is this a trick question?..........Last I checked Saskatchewan still had a team.
The Saskatchewan club in the Canadian Football League is not now, nor has ever been known as 'Rough Riders'.
Originally known as the 'Regina Rugby Club', they changed to 'Roughriders' in 1946.

Ah the old semantics of spelling the name trick. That's the second time I've fallen for that this month.

Or, you don't like facts.
Then again, you are a FAUX News fan.

Squaw Humper Dam
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Squaw Humper Dam is a dam on Tahc'a Okute Wakpa (formerly Squaw-Humper Creek) in Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota, in the United States.[1] It is located within Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, the lands of the Oglala Lakota Nation.

The name has generated a degree of controversy for containing the term squaw, which is often held to be pejorative.[2] While the Oglala Lakota successfully changed the name of the stream in federal usage, a proposal to rename the dam to Tahc'a Okute Mni Onaktake did not succeed. At the time, there were concerns expressed that the proposed name would be difficult for the general public to pronounce.

I'm thinking maybe the 'Edmonton Eagles'. Lots of Alberta Bald Eagles in their region, and nothing would need to really change logo-wise. Only the team mascot.

You just know the virtue signallers would complain because the logo wouldn't change. That would be a painful reminder of the Eskimo tag. The white twitter mob would be offended.

If I owned the Eskimos I would sell in a heart beat. It' s going to cost millions and millions to change the name.Everything from business cards, equipment bags, signage the list goes on and on. That's alot of money for a CFL team.

Who would you sell the team to, the community?

I;m sure someone would step up. Successful business people think they can fix anything. A good example is the owner of the Ticats. That team was on it's death bed and he turned it around.
