Does anyone on the board have firsthand experience with successful outcome of surgery to correct a cervical disk extrusion in a canine?
I'm familiar with the common treatments, but I have yet to hear of anyone having a radically successful outcome from a surgical correction. I'm trying to make up my mind by tomorrow if I want to proceed with surgical treatment, or try an additional course of oral steroids...Diagnosis of cervical extrusion has been confirmed with a myelogram at a university vet school.
Any help would be appreciated, as I am slowly but surely going insane with worry over here.
