Yes, the outside fan is working and I also checked the circuit breakerIs the outside fan working?
Have you check the fuse/circuit breaker?
More likely you freon is low.
if you can see the evaporator coil within the furnace and it's cover with ice, than the freon is low. If it's low freon, a normal repairman is suppose to find the leak before adding more freon, which is $$$. Some repairman will just add freon if you give then cash, but the freon might leak out in a few days or might last a few years.Yes, the outside fan is working and I also checked the circuit breaker
No sign of freeze up. A/C is 9 years old.(Goodman)Yes check for freeze up in the furnace.
If unit is over 10 years old....get a new one!
I think Goodman has a 10 year limited parts warranty, but you still have to pay labor. No sign of freeze up. A/C is 9 years old.(Goodman)
Freeze up is typically caused by restricted air flow not low refrigerant levels. Freon is a brand name of DuPont refrigerant, the original poster needs to find out what type is in his system.if you can see the evaporator coil within the furnace and it's cover with ice, than the freon is low. It's very true the efficiency of units increased greatly in the last few years, however if it isn't broken don't chuck it...Yes check for freeze up in the furnace.
