Cellphones on the Subway

What do you think of the non-emergency use of cellphones on the subway? It seems everybody who had a cellphone was either texting or talking on my train to-day.

Incredible people can’t wait 30 mins without yapping on their phones. They say it’s also for safety reasons but really? What’re you doing to do if you’re being assaulted? Call 911?

What do you expect them to do?

Exactly. If you are by yourself, sitting on a train, doing nothing - that is kind of boring. I can be returning message, chatting to friends, doing something other than sitting there bored out of my mind.
