When you try to send a text message and a message comes up on your screen that says, "Message Not Sent". Does that mean I screwed it up some how or that the person I'm sending the message too does not have their phone on?
New at this messaging thing so not to sure what I'm doing.

generaly once sent it remains in the cell companies que untill it is received by the injtended receiver. Might be you have the feature turned off on the phone. Could try customer service they must get a ton of this type of call from their suscribers.

...message transmit and message receipt are independent functions. And if you send to an invalid user (wrong number / does not have text as a feature) you will get a message tellng you as much.

This message means you fucked up....

On Bell Mobility, this message will come up for 2 reasons:

1. Bell is doing work on thier SMS servers or the SMS gateway to the destination number is down and your message cannot be accepted (by the Bell Mobility network. Try again in a couple of hours.

2. You are roaming onto an another provider's network that does not have a SMS agreement with Bell Mobility. For example, you can receive SMS in most of the US, but you can only send SMS if there's an ageement in place. In that case, SOL till you change your location.

On Rogers or Fido,

it may come up if the SMS message center number is incorrect or has not been entered. You'll need to contact a Rogers or Fido store for the correct number (something like +15149931123 or +1705???????)
