I'm sorry to tell you Sexfiend, Capoeira is closer to dancing then it is to a martial art.
It is widely accepted within the martial arts community that Capoeira is not a martial art. It may at one point been a martial art but the way it is taught and trained currently, it is a dance.
The moves are unrealistic in regards to a street fight (though some may say Tae Kwon Do is unrealistic as well in that aspect) or to tournament style fighting. They don't seem to teach the science of fighting, positioning, conditioning, etc...
Have you ever seen someone in Capoeira background win a mix martial arts or K-1 event!?! No, because they would get killed by a real fighter.
There are cases when a Capoeira stylists has tried to fight other martial artists and in every case they got mauled.
If you think Tae-bo is a martial art, well then, Capoeira is a martial art.
By the way I'm not saying that Capoeira is easy because it takes great strength and acrobatic talent to do it; I'm just saying that it is not considered a martial art (especially a realistic/effective one).
To sum it up Sexfiend, it is you that are full of shit when it comes to this topic.
Here's a helpful hint; next time you should ask why one has a certain opinion that disagrees with you before you cast judgement.
