Cardio Queen - WOW!

I went to the gym over the weekend and couldn't help notice this girl working out on a cardio piece of machinery known as a Precor Eliptical (not sure of the spelling) Unfortunately, I am not a cardio guy and enjoy lifting weights as opposed to what's better for my heart. When I entered, I noticed how fast and how much energy she was expending on that machine. I went to the weight room area and lifted for about an hour and half and started to leave but then I was floored. The same girl I saw pumping wildly on the machine when I came in was at the same level or higher an hour and half later  I know, she could have sped up, slowed down or even stopped in that time frame but the sweat built up on her shoulders and back didn't seem to indicate she stopped. Although I am able to throw around a 225 bench for multiple sets (big deal), I am floored at her cardio ability and all in all she is in much better shape that I will ever be in. Any cardio queen's and king's out there?

Especially in this weather you can just do cardio outside by running or walking. if you have excess energy why not use it to do physical work either to earn money or charity? for example, mow the lawn for your neighbours, pickup garbage for everyone in your street, build homes for homeless or yourself, or just stop using automobiles walk and run to grocery stores instead.
another idea: why not hookup those cardio machine in the gym to our energy grid so when you pedal on the machine you actually generate eletricity and make money??
1) running/walking outside - people are concerned about muggers, rapists, cars
2) charity work/manual labour - it's not aerobic exercise, and people are concerned about getting ripped off, injuring themselves, etc.
3) generating electricity - i agree but the gyms probably don't have the money to rig this up
