what does it consist of ? Is it something you can do yourself, if you have a bit of experience with cars?

O2 and MAP sensors come to mind but you can verify that by running the codes.

1) change the oil and the oil filter
2) change the air filter
3) change the cabin air filter if it has one ( probably does)\
4) Change the fuel filter
5) change the plugs
6) change the plug wires
If it has a distributer change the cap.

All of the above can be done with a few basic tools and a couple of hours.

Hints use an oil change shop if you don't have a jack and jack stands

change the plug wires one at a time , match the length and replace if you pull them all off get yourself a service manual, the firing order is oj the side of the intake manifold
