I am looking at buying a used car, possibly Toyota, Honda, Mazda, VW or Nissan. I have never bought a used car before and I would like to ask fellow Terbites about any advice that they may have. I mean any issue from model, problem with the various cars mentioned to the best insurance available. I would really appreciate any help you can give me. I am totally clueless as to what to look for so I would really appreciate any help or advice. :)

Your question is too general. Determine which specific model you want and then go on the internet and do some research. The car advice on here isn't that great. Lots of people hear go by perception, not facts. Each car has its own systemic problems.

I don't know why people buy VW's. People on here bitch about domestics, but mention that VW builds some of the lowest quality cars according to JD Power and Consumer Reports, and all you hear is a mouse fart.

Nissan and Mazda's are no more dependable than domestics, Honda tends to be better, and Toyota is tops.

Why not join CarHelpsCanada.com, they can tell you about the problems of different models of cars and point you in the right direction for a good dealer. If you watch CP24, you'll see they have a program on the weekend that talks about cars, watch it.

I bought a 3 year old Buick LeSaber through a dealer they recommended and had a great experience. Perfect vechile for me.
