I've got a piece of crap car rotting in my garage. What are my options?

Is it worth more as scrap metal?
Or
Try and sell it on CL?

If you sell it as a car make sure to get a signed and witnessed piece of paper that says 'as is' from who you sell it to. Drafting up a simple (and keep is simple) contract isn't hard, just 'as is' is essential, along with wording to the effect that you are neither liable or responsible for the thing as soon as the transaction occurs, to the fullest extent possible under the law.

I had a friend sell a junker and this saved his life... (Well, a big hunk of money...)

there are quite a few charities that will arrange to have your junker picked up, and they'll give you a very reasonable receipt for a charity donation

Some wreckers/scrapyards will pick it up and depending on the parts available on your wreck might give you $100-$500 upon dragging it away.
