Captain, Short stay short notice hotels motels?

I've been using the hotels in the 427/dundas area for short stays 50-80. I'm looking for similar in downtown and west of downtown area. Particularly for 1pm checkin for 3-5 hrs . I couldn't find threads to help. Can I please get the help from a captain?

Many hotels, depending on availability, will offer a day rate. You will most likely have to up your budget for someplace half decent DT. In my limited experience of booking a day rate, cost is ~1/2-2/3 of the going overnight rate.

The issue with Day Rates is that you cannot book them in advance. Tough for business travelers.

This is true. Must book the day of. Sometimes you’ll get lucky in Hotwire and get anrooom
For 24h for similar price to some day rates.

You can book a room at most Hilton hotels online ahead of time for day-use by selecting the same day for check-in and check-out.
