I'm thinking of heading to Cancun for a vacation.

I don't think I will hobby there unless someone can suggest a decent SC.

But what I wanted to know was, how's the night life, bars, clubs and such

For the people that have been there:

decent bars and restaurants

also activity suggestions

Holden,we go every year.
Spent 7 days there in March and it was amazing. Cancun is a great place to visit. You can see the American influence everywhere. The night life is never ending. Most hotels will have a bus that takes you to a certain club each night and will walk you in, no line up. Usually 20 U.S. all you can drink. But they are always wanting tips.These clubs are multi million dollar places, huge light shows with lasers and everything else.
What hotel are you ataying at? I can give you more info.

May I suggest Senior Frogs and Coco Bongos great night clubs,I had a great time at both.....

I was there a few years ago, spent some time with a local businessman. He took me to a high end incall, mostly American girls. I think it was about $500 US which I did not consider. There are lots of tourists, girls from other South American countries, so there shouldn't be a need for any SPs while you are there.

OK Holden, first things first..........

Do not bother with the SPs, trust me; theres enough women to go around. DO NOT go to Blackjacks or Shampoo (Strip clubs), the shows are not that good, the women not that hot and it is unbelievably expensive.

Now for the good news.....

-You can have fun within the resort, let me know where you're staying and I'll let you in on the fun stuff.
-The All you can drink clubs are about $32 USD - they used to be 20 but not anymore.
Senor Frogs is fun - get the all you can drink,music is mixed top40 and hip hop with some dance.
La Boom - all techno in one room, hip hop in the other - really loud and hard to chat with ladies.
Carlos and Charlies - same as Frogs , same chain owners as well as Pat OBriens.
Dady O / Dady Rock / Top Dady - 3 clubs 1 bldg - rock 80-90s in one, trance / techno in one, dance in the other.
Coco Bongo - dance, hip/hop - loud, nice light show.
Bulldog Cafe - top 40/rock and a bit of dance.

Cheapest place to drink for 1 price....
Baja Beach Club - $12.50 USD all you can drink - hip/hop, rap, basketball court.lol and if you go look for Omar, tell him you're from Toronto.lol

If theres anything else just ask.....My buddies and I usually go twice a year for the last 15 yrs or so...my next stay is at Melia Turquesa- nice resort and I got it for a hell of a price.

So keep in mind - go All inclusive with the hotel / package.

Another thing Holden.......

make sure the travel agent puts you in Cancun and NOT the Mayan Riviera! There's jack shit to do at Playa Del Carmen and unless you plan to spend you vacation looking at ruins instead of being ruined - do not go to the mayan riviera.....its ok there if you plan to do nothing and just look at the scenery.

Baci....are you talking about the foam parties?

If thats the case....at Oasis in the Up and Down club on Thursdays...at Coco Bongos on Fridays but, they usually only do it during the American spring break...and Bulldog Cafe does it on Saturdays - but they have a jacuzzi in the club and its hooked to a web cam. I suggest not to go into the jacuzzi, its really gross if you see it turned off and in broad daylight.

Mind you Fat Tuesdays is always fun but; "The Booze" cruise beats them all. The cruise takes you to Isla Mujeres (Island of Women.lol) for a night of stupid drinking and just stage shows - theres a lot of unecessary nudity by the tourists.lol, but; a lot of fun. And if you get drunk enough you might want to get on the mechanical bull.

Plaza 21 is where the strip clubs are at...

Plaza 21 is...you guesed it...21 kilometers outside of Cancun...not on a bus route...you will need a cab to take you there...make sure you negociate the fare before leaving, and pay the cabbie to stay and take you back...otherwise, you will get screwed for the fare on the cab ride back to the hotel.

Several strip clubs there, but there pretty rough spots, more for the locals...go in a group...watch your wallet...and your drinks. The girls go down to a g-string for the stage show, and take it all off in the "VIP" section...and might invite you upstairs for the right price.

Type Plaza 21 in the search key for strip clubs.

Blue Bay Getaway(BBG) is the sexiest resort there...kinda dumpy, but lots of fun nudity games in the afternoon...I think it caters to swingers...Also go to www.cancunescort.com for a look at the professional ladies...

You will have fun....it's impossible not to...but I don't think you will have to pay for sex...horny girls are everywhere.

I agree Bruce....

theres a lot of ways to get fleeced going to "Plaza 21" and that hell hole - Blackjacks. The cabbies can screw you on the fare and if you make the mistake of going into the VIP at Blackjacks, its game over. I even tell guys - do not let the girls sit with you at your table....there is a fee for them just make idle chit chat plus they drink like swines.

BBG is fun, but down the road at the end of the strip; there a small resort called El Pueblito. Its kinda dumpy but its a lot of "fun" as well. Small resort and the crowd is interesting, mostly Europeans - English and Germans. Fun resort esp. during Spring Break.

I agree as well.....you shouldnt have to go to a stripclub / SP / MP while there. Its just too easy to meet people, for a couple of reasons....1. theyre drunk...2. theyre on vacation...3. they start drinking early...4. theyre drunk...5. whatever happens in Cancun, stays in Cancun.
