I'm debating on upgrading my education to go a little further up the corporate ladder..... Does anybody have any advice on online Universities in Canada? Looking for courses in the economic or business fields.... but I really don't have anything narrowed down just yet.

Saw a news show about the american schools offering online degrees.... they said the price was actually more expensive to do it online. Anyone find this to be true on our side? I appreciate any advice on this....

Any online course I have taken as always been more then if I did the same course in night school.

Course curriculum is the same between then and if you took the course during a day program.

I have found that learning online, I didn't learn as much. I passed, but my focus was not as strong as it was when actually going to a class.

Just FYI

Although you may learn something new with online courses, but it won't help you climb the corporate ladder. Not sure about your background, but it will help if you can get some professional designation like CA, CMA, CGA, CFA .... etc. You can also consider an Executive MBA at York or Western.

Athabasca and Thompson Rivers University ( www.truopen.ca ) are both bona-fide brick-and-mortar schools with extensive online course selection and degree programs.

U of T School of Continuing Education also has a number of courses offered online in Business and Professional Studies.

Most any Canadian university is recognized as reputable; stay away, however, from any institution that exists 'online' only.
