Canadian Obligation to WORK

So...as Canadians...We have the obligation to pay taxes.( Stinks)
It's impossible to avoid 'em, or at least illegal.
The more you make...the higher your income tax rate is, due to the bullshit term of, Progressive taxiation.
SO I suggest, turnabout is fair play.
As obligated as everyone ( Working, retired, welfare, rich, poor) is to pay taxes, I suggest that everyone, except the VERY sick, must be obligated to work.
Work, at a job, that has positive ramifications to the economy,
People who refuse, to get their sorry butts out of bed, and make a living...and a contribution to the county, deserve a swift kick in the ass!

Those retired...are allowed their deserved time off...
But with the looming labour shortage, why not work a couple of days, and shoe us wippersnappers how it's done?
Rant..rant..rant...

I tend to agree.

There are a lot of redeeming qualities of work: exercise, socialization, feeling of earning, contributing to society, etc. And for most people, work is not dangerous (i.e. coal mine).

I can go for a few weeks of total R & R, but after awhile, I would go bored out of my mind.

And yes, even the elderly, if they are still able to move around, could get health benefits from working a reduced schedule.

Yeah the one's that sit on their ass and get Welfare...then it follows generations because they see how easy it is for a parent to receive it. They spend all their money on booze, lottery tickets, cigarettes.....they don't care about paying rent because it's subsidized.
I have a friend that has a Pawn shop, and she makes quite a bit of business at the end of the month from the Welfare people...then by the middle of the month they're pawning stuff for more money. It's a vicious circle, some people bring the same stuff in month after month....or hold it over month after month.

They should be using the cash for buying physical gold and silver and hiding that instead.

I dunno about you, but I don't want to live on the meagre amounts that Welfare provides. Maybe that's a lot to you, but it's chicken shit to me. I'd much rather work and make some real coin.

If you're so pathetic that living off Welfare gives you the lifestyle you want to lead, then have at it I say. You don't know what you're missing.

But alot of people collect a welfare cheque and do work on the side for cash (babysitting, construction, drug dealing). That's what really irks me and the welfare authorities rarely investigate fraud.
