Jesse Palmer of the New York Giants becomes the first Canadian bred Quarterback to start an NFL game Sunday night. (8:30PM, TSN) It says 1 in 10 Canadians will watch it!

I've seen Palmer play quite a bit (I saw several pre-season games plus his time at Florida) and I can't say I'm all that optimistic about how he'll do. he throws deep pretty well but his short passes are always a little off and don't allow much run after catch. I'll be rooting for him though.

He's a big QB, has a strong arm. Not mobile enough and will be sacked a fair bit. He doesn't read the field well enough. I'll be routing for him though. Hopefully he has a break out game.

I don't follow the NFL so much, but I'll be watching. Maybe one of these days we'll get a Canadian QB in the Canadian league, how revolutionary!

Coach Marshall is head coach in Hamilton. It's bittersweet because he wanted to win the Vanier with McMaster but timing is everything. McMaster should have won it this year but...they didn't take out Behie and put in Archibald until the second quarter when they were down 22-5 already. I just hope Mac's program doesn't go to shit. They are Ontario's only hope of winning the Vanier (since Ontario can't offer athletic scholarships, we lose a lot of talent).

I dodged it on point-spread (I may get a 12 game ticket for thousand to one odds for a laugh later though) but thats probably right. I think Jesse may turn into a starting qb in the NFL (he could definately come to Canada) but he's playing behind a lousy o-line and while I think he moves well in the pocket he's not a scrambler. but then Brooks (saints qb) is one of those guys I hate to bet on.

he played a solid game though, Barber and the kick returner Mitchell fumbled and the D played like crap. Palmer was above 50% in completions had a TD and I don't think he got picked. still needs to do a ton of work on the short passes (didn't allow for many yeards after catch) but he did ok.

He'll get to the probowl because of his play. Who cares about the phone, it's entertainment. I wish i could do that, but I play linebacker. Football is all about bragging rights, and having a good time.

I just think the props are tacky and really devalue the skill that goes into the game. Horn does deserve to be in the pro bowl as the number 3 guy but could be argued down to 4, and a cheap stunt like this could make him 5 easily.
