Too many divers on that Russian team. The Russia - US game was a sad, sad display of poor sportsmanship on their part. But, it looks like they may have shot their emotional bolt in that one while Canada played it cool against the Czechs.

We'll beat them good tonight. Crosby is a better player than Ovechkin. If the NHL gets going again, we'll see just how much. Heck, Jeff Carter will probably win a Hart before Vech.

The fans at the broadcast centre are really something (must be all the Branvin out in the prairies). Makes me feel very patriot right now. But the best are the signs people are carrying

ie.

"ALBERTA BEEF MADE IT ACROSS THE BORDER, BABY!"

being carried by a very obese man

and

"WHAT HAPPENS IN GRAND FORKS, STAYS IN GRAND FORKS"

being carried by an elderly gentleman.

I never thought I'd say this but, while watching the game last night I turned down the sound and waited for Ranger's updates, and Ranger was far less annoying then MacGuire.



Sadly I turned up the sound briefly while changing channels, and came back to the game with the sound on just in time for the "That was a Double Dion! Double Dion baby!" fiasco.
