So I had to get hard copies of two individual contracts signed. One to Winnipeg and one to Montreal.

Mailed from an actual "brick and mortar" Canada Post Office in North York last Tuesday mid-day.

Neither has reached their destination yet, as I write this one full week later.

Canada Post web site says for 9" by 12" envelopes 4 working days anywhere in Canada.

Snail mail indeed...

Just pray they don't lose them. They do that too.

Would sending them by email or even by fax have been ok? Instead of snail mail you could have registered them or sent them by FedEx for a few extra dollars. The latter 2 would have tracking numbers especially if they're important contracts.

I wanted hard original signed copies. Not really time-sensitive so I wasn't prepared to pay the much higher costs of FedEx or Priority Post.

I was advised the Winnipeg envelope arrived today. Still pretty slow in my opinion.

Because you didn’t pay. Free service will take longer to promote paid service. Not rocket science. If there was no time sensitivity issue; I don’t understand the complaint. It arrived with the time frame it was suppose to.

It took 6 working days, even if I don't include the drop-off at 2:47 pm at a brick & mortar Canada Post Office in North York as Day 1.

That is 2 days longer than the 3 to 4 days Canada Post states as what to expect on their web site for large envelopes inside Canada.

$3.43 plus tax per envelope isn't free. Express Post is over $44 per large envelope for stated 2 day delivery.

As my items weren't time sensitive I took the significantly lower price option. Just noting that they took 2 days longer than Canada Post specifies to get delivered. That is 50% more time than it was supposed to...

Yes I'd be more concerned about that. I've even lost mail sent via XPress Post before, although I'm sure that's rarer.

Shut up Jenesis!

My bad. I thought it was 9-12 days. So I was like “why bitch?” But I get you. It was delayed. And yes not “free”

I apologize
