This could go a long way to rebuilding the US image abroad. It sounds very generous, but maybe there is a catch 22.

At the start of the Pandemic, it was china 0 and USA 1. Then for the next year, it was China 1 and USA 0. Now, it is USA 1 and China 0.

The title of the thread is wrong. It's not to waive the patent on vaccines. It's to waive the patent on Covid vaccines.

Which I think is a political shit show. In reality waiving the patent will not improve production speed for the one that already produce it and will only lead to cut the corner newcomer producer... Putting everyone's health at risk.

Making a vaccines is already very risky as they always have bad effects on many people. This is a very risky move.

Why is it wrong? Reading the article its clear that it's not "all" vaccines, as you apparently assume, but "covid" vaccines, being referred to.

BTW don't be confused by the catchy titles designed to catch attention, not convey exact truths, that many news stories have. You often have to dig deeper & actually read beyond the title, & read the article, to see what it's really about & really saying.

Why would any country allow the cutting of corners on a vaccine that could affect the health of millions of their citizens? Do they have a death wish for them?

Won't they be given a blueprint, so to speak, for getting the job done right? Well, then, just follow it.
