Can I convert my US Sprint HTC phone to a canadian provider

So I have a nice HTC phone I got from Sprint in the states.

Now I'm staying here I want to get a new phone plan but still use my HTC.

Is that possible?

I tried talking to Sprint but they said I couldnt - or at least the chat agent who answered said that.

Is there anyway of getting a phone plan and keep my existing phone device?

Which model? If it's CDMA which I believe Sprint is still on, not going to be easy. If it's SIM card phone, just check ebay for someone to unlock but check model # and carrier to confirm.

Model is PC36100

I chatted with Rogers and they said if I could unlock it they could use it.

Maybe - but its a 4g phone too not sure if that works against it.

i was kinda wondering the same thing. i got the droid razr maxx last week and my situation changed like 2 days later and i am gonna be coming off the highway. was hoping to change the phone around to a canadian provider.

There are lots of computer stores that will unlock it for you, and then you can buy a sim card.
