Hi Guys,

I just got a new Surface Pro Windows Device. I intend to use it for school and recreation; I think its a great buy because I get a tablet and a laptop. I have never had a virus on a tablet before but this is a full PC. It looks porn and movie downloading got me. lol.

I am getting pop up additional tabs along with a ton of ads the are opening within every page I view, mid page and on the side. It is very frustrating.
The ads are from Go Save and Browser shop. I removed the weird looking programs from my registry, uninstalled and redid Chrome Browser but nothing is working.

If anyone can help it would be awesome! I tried the scans that come with the device, to no avail.

Thank you!

It could be that someone has written a bad chrome extension. You can see the extensions or "add in" programs in chrome by going to settings (click the 3 lines in the very top right of the chrome window). If you see any extensions that you don't know of disable them. You should try this when you are not connected to the internet so nothing pops up in those tabs.

Does the same thing happen in Firefox or IE?

Since this doesn't sound like a virus, more like malware or ad-ware

try this tool: http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

I had something like this called the "Win32.exe" virus. It is a program that disguises itself as a windows program and then brings in the Adware. Spybot(free) can find it but Norton and other can't.

Sorry hun I had to take it to a geek. Cost 85 bucks but it was money well spent. It attaches itself all over your system and to all your browsers. Unless you are a geek the internet instruction were really difficult.

And as it attaches to browsers its impossible to get rid of as you need to surf to solve it!
