Don't know what the cap situation is like but ...

Mark Blount - Bos - decent numbers, shot blocker
Adonal Foyle - GoldenState - big body
Tom Guggliotta - Utah - too old and too injury prone?
Steven Hunter - Orl - athletic but no basketball sense?
Eric Williams - Cle - worker ant
Brian Cardinal - GoldenState - worker ant part 2

Derek Fisher - LA - point guard, can be leader but too old
Brent Barry - Sea - shooter and can handle the ball
Troy Hudson - Min - primarily a shooter that can backup at point
Anthony Peeler - Sac - strictly shooter
Shammond Williams - NO - hasn't done much since leaving NC.

... all unrestricted FAs

as are Rasheed Wallace, Vlade Divac and Steve Nash but they don't look to be future Raptors.

Maybe Peeler, but everybody knows Vince wont post up to open up an outside shooter.
Blount off the bench? maybe. may make a good 6th man.

I'd love to see Nash run the point, that would be nice.

With Devin Harris going to Dallas ... wonder if Nash is going to be cut loose? or is Harris a tradable to LA in a package for Shaq?

A thought crossed my mind....

With the Raptors drafting Araujo (6'11" at 285 -290), and the Raptors management hinting that they will keep 7 or 8 players from the existing roster.....

They should make a run for Rasheed Wallace.

My rational for this would be -
You could post Araujo (though soft on D), run Rasheed and Bosh in the 4 spot and all the existing players get their spots as is.

Araujo may provide the presence the Raptors so badly need in the paint - he is an excellent free throw shooter( 72%) and has a decent field goal average - but his stock dramatically rose during the pre draft workouts with other teams because 1. he showed a good game one-on-one 2. an outstanding perimeter game 3. and a good court sense during transition.
Bosh has outstanding agility, soft hands for the long ball and good defensive sense.
Rasheed....is Rasheed(self explanatory.lol)

Toronto could be the next true Bad Boy BBall team....
Rasheed has been know to be mean spirited (to put it midly) and, Araujo is noted as the meanest mormon to come out of Utah.
A low post bad boy combo....hmmmm...interesting.

wrong hole

huh...

I don't think 'sheed is going to accept the 4.5 million veterans exemption to play for Toronto....Raptor's are over the salary cap and have no players of trade value unless you give up vince

you can't even trade bosh for someone high profile since Bosh only makes 2 million....salaries have to match....maybe you can junk them with taking Jalen rose....which is highly unlightly

the only one on that list is Troy Hudson -that can help the raptors

....but still no true point guard....forget about steve nash, you would have to do a sign and trade and give up Carter....that's a big no
