California-based Pakistani Islamic scholar Qazi Fazlullah (also spelled Qazi Fazl Ullah) said that the Jews harbour enmity toward the Muslims for three reasons: lust for power, lust for wealth, and jealousy because “the leadership of the whole world is turning to the sons of Ishmael and not to the Israelites.”
In a sermon delivered in the U.S. and posted on the YouTube channel of the Chatsworth, California Al Islam Masjid Tube on October 25, 2024, Fazullah warned against friendship with the Jews or the Christians, saying that their friendship with one another is “not because of their love for one another,” but “is based upon enmity with the Muslims,” and that “whosoever takes them as protectors or friends – then surely he is one of them.”

Qazi Fazlullah: “So it means that the Jews have enmity with you people. They have enmity with you people, and they have jealousy as well.
“There are three basic reasons: Number one – lust for power, number two – lust for wealth, and number three – the jealousy. So jealously was that while the prophethood that is changing from the Israelites to the sons of Ishmael, while the leadership of the whole world is turning to the sons of Ishmael, and not to the Israelites… So that’s the jealousy.

“[The Quran says]: ‘Oh believers, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies.’ Make them not protectors, or friends, secret keeper, depending upon them, or trusting them. ‘They are the allies of one another.’ They are the friends and protectors of one another. So ‘one another?’ This friendship of theirs with one another is not because of their love for one another. It is based upon enmity with the Muslims.
“Yes, the reason for that is what? Enmity. ‘They are the friends and protectors of one another…’ They are the friends and protectors of one another. ‘And whoever is an ally to them among you…’ And whosoever will establish an alliance with them, such as friendship, which goes against Islam and Muslims… If that friendship of yours is going against the believers, that is not allowed. ‘And whoever is an ally to them among you…’ Takes them as protectors and friends – ‘then surely he is one of them.'”
