CAD crashing?

Just starting this thread to here people's view on CAD's value against USD
I have been hearing from lot of Macros experts that since Bank of Canada will be forced to cut rates, while US will keep it high - so this will affect CAD value
some experts are calling for CAD falling to 1.6/1.7 against USD.
Lots of traders are placing bets to short CAD.
again it's tough to predict this but the way current policies are going - everyone is saying this is most predictable trade.

It is true that under Trudeau our currency is being debased
but I won't worry about the loonie crashing. The USD is in demand
because it is still needed in many parts of the world for trading, It
has as much intrinsic value as a piece of toilet paper. In the long run
both the USD and the loonie will be debased to a fraction of what it
is worth today. But I bet it is the USD that will win in the race to
the bottom. .
