Awesome, got to love it. And it also explains why there is a lego shortage, needed to build animations for explanations, and now we have deprived all the kids of their xmas toys. So, now C-36 has ruined Xmas too. :-(

Just because Parliament passes a law doesn't mean it gets enforced and somehow I find it unlikely that the police are going to be putting a lot of time and energy into enforcing C-36.

Mostly the cops just respond to what the community asks for and since guys calling escorts is completely invisible to the general public it's not like there are going to be a lot of calls with people saying "Hello 911? There's a guy standing at the corner of Bank and Fifth talking on his phone and I think he might be calling a prostitute!". And then add the possibility of a judge laughing them out of court.

Human trafficking and underage providers will always be an attractive target for the cops. Nice high profile busts that everyone supports. C-36? Meh, not so much.

One possible future.
This is so funny! This new Bill C-36 is just plain dumb and stupid. More of our hard earned tax dollars at work. The government has no right to meddle in the affairs of two consenting adults behind closed doors, even if cash just happened to exchange hands.
