I currently have 2 sticks of OCZ Reaper DDR2-SDRAM, PC2-6400, 400MHz for a total of 4GB of RAM.

I want to buy more. I'm running Vista Home Edition, 64-bit.

This is what I'm looking at and would match what I already have: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=016092&cid=RAM.346.307

Does it matter if I match or could I go with another make/manufacturer? I thought there was some synergy to be had by being consistent.

Thoughts?

I've mixed ram make/manufacturer with no problems. Ram just has to be compatable and the same type. If your MB won't support the faster ram it will just use it at the slower speed.

We have found degradation in performance based on mixing manufacturers RAM .... for a home user i do not think it will be as apparent ... if even noticeable. To be quite honest if we were not testing we may not have noticed it in day to day transactions as well .. as it only accounts to maybe a 10s of thousands of transactions less per hour ...
