IIRC, all military equipment must have their weapons systems removed. I remember someone buying a WWII tank and the seller had to weld a plug into the gun barrel - making it useless as a weapon.

Sure you can buy a fighter jet, but it's not gunna have armaments...

At the end of the cold war, Russian pilots were selling MIGs for $200 or a case of vodka, if they could get it.

Hundreds of these planes were literally given away to foreign powers.

Seriously, I don't mind experiencing riding in a Mig doing 1000+ MPH. I could be wrong, but I think now in Russia have fighter jets pay per ride for tourists.

I'd believe so with enough paper work and one very serious bank account to keep it fueled and repaired. Fuel consumption with afterburns is in the gallons per second range I believe

I think if i had a MiG - 29 i would want to pimp it out. Some 20 inch chrome spinner mags. Red leather interior with gold motif. Flashy paint scheme. A huge boom box by Alpine in the back. I would have to lose some avonics but what the hell. Whats more important than ones music? Ahhhhhhhhhh 40,000 feet and my favourite hip hop artist singing "kill da whitey."

How many remember the John Larroquette Show when he was in a car with Daryl "Chill" Mitchell and hip hop was playing on the radio and John starts singing "kill da whitey." A classic episode. --- Kev

There also is a F19 tomahawhk for sale for 1 million.it was a Blue angel stunt plane that was taken out of service a few yrs bak. for another 8million the seller will make it air worthy again.
