Yay, Sid is coming home. The problem is what would Montreal have to give up and they already have 4 really good (not great yet) young centres.Crosby wants out. Someone tell Darts, Crosby is being traded to Montreal.
Not a chance Sidney Crosby will be going to Montreal...Calgary had enough of him. They can't compete anymore with their current roster. It would be interesting to see what Crosby and malkin would fetch for a team on the cusp. They're not playing through a rebuild and they could fetch a boatload of picks which they have none of.
Crosby may end up in Montreal yet if they have picks to give. Malkin maybe to st Louis or Vegas or Colorado if it works.
At 33 (34 at the end of the season) I would not consider impossible. Not a chance Sidney Crosby will be going to Montreal...
Why would Crosby and his wife, Kathy Leutner, who is an American citizen, want to go to Montreal to pay 3x the tax as they do now?At 33 (34 at the end of the season) I would not consider impossible.
Sydney played his Junior hockey in Rimouski, Quebec and has since made numerous trip to montreal and Tremblant. He grew up as a Canadian fans (as many in the maritimes do). I am pretty sure it would be is favorite choice but the problem is at what cost?? It actually is not very favorable for the Habs due to his age.
Another factor is his girlfriend. Do they want to settle down have kids?? Then Montreal is again a great choice. Or does she wants to go for the famous big city... New York or LA... Not sure if she's still very active in her modeling career. Would not be the first time that the wife get's to decide next step
Weber and Price aren't getting any younger. If possible and at a reasonable cost, adding Crosby might be just enough to bring home the Cup or at least get them deeper in the playoffs. Agreed, probably a long shot but Spezza, Simmonds and Thornton came home to finish their careers. Spezza, Simmons and Thornton couldn’t get contracts anywhere else...Crosby has shown no indication that he wants to leave and the Penguins have shown no interest in letting him go.Weber and Price aren't getting any younger. Quebec taxes can be managed. In our company, we "top-up" "imported" employee salaries to offset the extra taxes if they are transferred to Quebec
