At $5.5M/year demand, Hyman was (easily?) replaceable. He'll have 1-2 years left in the tank before that contract is an albatross for the Oilers. Don't get me wrong as I loved Hyman. I wish he stayed and was playing on a line with Tavares and Nylander... But not at his asking price.
