Broadband & Autodialers

Does anyone know if those autodialers work if you have broadband instead of dialup????
I'm under the impression that since those dialers work by trying to access a dial tone they cant work on ADSL connections.

But I could be wrong. Does anyone know???

Yes it can't dial out unless you have a phone modem and it connected to a phone line. I don't even have a 56k phone modem in my computer and this is what alerted me to being infected by one of these auto dialer viruses... windows kept popping up a message that "Modem was not found"

DSL, ADSL, & Cable use LAN cards in your PC so you are safe.

Does anyone know of some kind of software/hardware that can read a file of phone numbers and dial them automatically?
