For me being woke means I am not racist and I have empathy.. For everyone.
It early but you have a lock on dumbest post of the day, possibly week, month and year.
Your opinion, he's a douchebag. I heard him years ago making fun of Spielberg's adopted black kid and the accent he gave him enraged a ton of Africans a massive group of Africans who protested outside his then studio in downtown New York.
One of the protestors made the point that he didn't need to speak with an accent, which came acorss as condescening, mean and hateful of Africans. Even when I listened to it live in the car, I thought to myself it was over the top and too much.
I immediately though dude has some serious racial issues but his platform is where he can get away with vocalizing it "as a joke".
Robin was laughing along with the joke but wasn't fully committed herself either, you could tell she was trying to keep her distance during the bit.
He may be a douche bag but the suggestion that Robin is a token is absurd.
You're right because if the movie is accurate, then it seemed he gave zero fucks and they got along well, but that doesn't mean he's not a racist or has some strong condescending points of view about a certain ethnic group.
In my opinion, it the bit had strong racist undertones.
He is a shock jock. He gets paid a lot of money to insult etc everyone and every minority and ethnic group. Is there someone among the many gusts of every ethnic group who would agree with you. And I mean among people who know him.
I simply said what 'woke' means for me. As David says in the video the right as perverted the word completely to fit their racism, bigotry, misogyny... name it!
I will say it again I am a proud woke.
Before Howard went woke (which started exactly when he met Beth) he often spoke about the beatings he took from black kids in the neighbourhood he grew up in. That's not the kind of life experience that promotes the idea that "everyone is the same, and we all deserve the same dignity and respect".
Howard is the devil who became a darling. Like all those who followed that path before him, he's been trying to reinvent his image in order to play to a larger audience. In short, he's a sell out. He's a great interviewer, but his show has become tedious since he's gotten woke.

He may have liked Robin and it certainly helped with his demographic, because if she would have been white, he wouldn't have as wide an audience. His show was a circus and he was a scummy opportunist.
Now that he's older, his true colours are coming out, all the while he's nestled in his multi-million dollar gated mansion.
But I can't take away that I did listen to him a lot when he was on the radio, but he is harmful when he's talking about medical procedures.

howard had been taken over by the likes of Joe Rogan, Andrew Schultz and breakfast club...they had a better platform, better guests, better topics etc etc....this looks sad...declaring to be "woke" just to get more followers...
hope this helps him keep whatever relevance he has left...He was a gossip radio host with salacious material, it worked for its time, that's it.
