Boy sticks gum on $1.5m painting

Jesh suspended for that? Jesh, kids stick gum to the bottoms of desks etc... I know I certainly did at that age. Suspension goes on kids permanent records. In my opinion they should send him to the office and talk to him about the matter as it was most likely a first offence, so he may not have known the consequences. I agree the art gallery should have had the pictures stored behind clear glass frames or something especially if they are allowing school tours. Each child does not have an adult holding it's hand then. I think the schools are getting ridiculous when I hear all this stuff. It is for the most part the adults supervising the children that should take responsibility. Maybe they should suspend the supervisors of the child too for not noticing that the child had the gum. After all in other insidences they would say that the parents are responsible for the childs behaviour.
