So having been around for a while now and seeing reviews of ladies I've been with by other folks.. I have a feeling people are getting breast measurements completely wrong.. Or is it just me? Maybe this has always and will always be a problem?

I'm extremely curious because I feel like guys are just throwing out letters of the alphabet. B, C, D.. Without adequate context and understanding. A big B and a moderate C is almost interchangeable, so what standard are we using here? Megan Fox is a 34B. Katy Perry is a 34D (maybe DD now) Sofia Vergara is a shocking 32F. In most cases a 34B-36C on a spinner frame is already pretty damn large.

Other thing I've been amused about is "firm" when referring to natural breasts. Maybe it's a vocab thing but .. We're all aware boobs are mostly fat right? People talk about firm all the time, I'm very confused. Aside from very petite girls with 32-34A's .. Boobs are made of almost entirely fat so lifted or not, droopy or not, sure .. Tautness of skin, sure, but firm natural breasts!?

The biggest misconception I see when it comes to boob size is that most people (both men and women!) seem to think a 32C, 34C, 36C, and so on all have the same cup size. Which isn't true at all. Cup size on a 36C is bigger than a 34C, which is bigger than a 32C. Most people just think the band size is larger, but no, cup size is larger too. Whoever came up with the system was a dick! lol

A 32D, 34C, and 36B all are the same cup size. Just with differing band sizes. They're called sister sizes. You can't just refer to an alphabetical cup size to determine boob size.

I went bra shopping with a female friend and she was completely flabbergasted by this....

rhuarc has it. I usually wear a 36C, but i can wear a 34D just fine. I was measured once at an upscale lingere boutique and the lady declared me a a 32F! And the bra that she sold me fits perfectly- my breasts have a lot of fullness so the biggest difference was that the cups were wider and covered the whole breast instead of pinching off a bit under the armpit. I always roll my eyes a bit when reviewers comment on breasts size- sometimes it's misrepresented, but sometimes it's just that a D on a skinny girl isn't that big in terms of absolute volume.

..Pinching off a bit under the armpit sounds .. uncomfortable.

Ahem.. I would say though that breasts, like any part of any person, should really be judged on a relative basis. I'd say for most lithe figures a 36C is pretty damn mighty. I brought this whole thread up as I think people generally "rule of thumb" the cups to a 34-36 band range, or at least I do, so at I think I know what I'm trying to refer to when I throw out a cup. But hearing someone throw out D's when I'm thinking big B's is disconcerting although we can both be definitely correct.

And oh, not to leave that hanging there.. but oh, wow, 32F's! :eyebrows:

So slight sidebar but I have discovered the most comfortable men's underwear in existence and .. sorry to my "big" brethren (whether sack or pole) but I think there's only a few sizes.

The thing is, even though I own a bra in that size, and it fits me perfectly with no looseness or gaps, I would never advertise as an F cup- my boobs are pretty much exactly what you would think of as large C/small D.

The thing about band sizes, is that irrespective of cup size, someone who is wearing a 36 band is not going to be slim or a spinner. You don't get 36Cs on a spinner frame- the girl might be a toned curvy, an hourglass, plump, or perhaps very tall, but a slim petite girl wearing a 36 band almost cartainly has the wrong bra on- perhaps because it's very hard to find larger cup sizes in the small bands at a reasonable price.

I don't care about measurements. As long as I see big boobs, my tongue will be wagging out. Even better if your short and small frame. I'm not into BBW sizes.

It is interesting how much effort women put into bras when for men the important measurements are "1, 2, okay. Both there. Lets play."

In my opinion there can be considerable differences in the texture and consistency.

You are right that the word "ifrm" is flawed in that it is subjective and heavily dependent on context - for example what is considered firm in the context of pudding or yogurt would not be considered firm at all by the standard of a mattress or seat cushion.

Despite the lack of a universal firmness scale, it is still more practical to call more tightly packed packed breasts "firm" as opposed to calling them "less squishy", because of course there is also no universal scale for squishiness either...

So the word firm is about as good as we've got to convey the sensation of a breast that's more like memory foam or gel cushion as opposed to one that feels like a soggy waffle or half-empty bag of fluid.

Ahem, that's why I said people use general terms like "firm" or "dense" and resort to more detailed comparissons only when prompted. I'm sure women have their own descriptions for erection quality for those times when somebody cares to know.

Personally I often try to be more descriptive because the general adjectives can mean different things to different people - the OP's confusion is a perfect example of this - so I'd strive to give people a more accessible sense of what something actually looks, feels or smells like. But the general words do have the advantage of compactness & brevity which some people prefer so I understand why they are used.
