Just heard on TSN that Usain Bolt ran 9.58 today at the World Championsips.

Aided or not, that is amazing.

Then again after last year's Okympics we knew it was possible.

It was NOT aided. I was watching the Murray/Del Potro tennis match live on CBC and CBC near the tail end of the 2nd set went to the 100m race live. It was not wind aided is what the commentator said.

I was referring to the chemical "aiding" that we know will be brought up.

He is an amazing freak either way.

I didn't think you meant chemical 'aiding' either... It's a term used for wind in sprinting...

anyways, I guess you did bring it up...

his race was amazing... #2 Ty Gay wasn't far behind, though... good enough at 9:71 for fastest ever US record...

Can these guys make a living at track and field? How much money do sprinters make?
The top..and I mean TOP end guys do very well for themselves. The others...I'm sure they aren't starving but won't be multi-millionaires. Usain tho...I'm sure he's living a VERY VERY lavish life...which is awesome as he deserves it as far as I'm concerned.

Usually the taller sprinters take longer to stride, but Bolt 6''5, strides quick and far. The only person who could beat this record, is probably Bolt himself. Can imagine Nike, Reebok, or Adidas sprinting to sign him!!

He used Puma shoes at the Olympics. Did he wear them for yesterday's WR race ?
