I'm going to New York on Monday for two nights, attending meetings at our office there. My friend was telling me that as a Canadian citizen I need to provide evidence showing my purpose of business, or a letter from my company.

-To answer my question what are you experiences entering the US for business, what do you normal say?
-Any strip clubs worth visiting?

Do not use the word "work". Going for meetings is OK.

Assuming of course that you have your passport, you should also have some sort of company ID or at least a business card in case they ask. And don't answer with more than they asked. Purpose of visit is "meetings", not "meetings, maybe a ballgame and some other sightseeing."

I travel to the USA for business all the time. Just have a business card out and available and tell them you work for ABC company and you are attending meetings at the New York Office. Done and done.

As for strip clubs... save your $$$.

Yes, meeting with customer, training etc... anything that'll help create job, not taking the job away from a US citizen, that's what they're looking for.

My experience is that if you go too frequently, you'll get asked more and more questions.
