Hey fellow enthusiasts,

This girl blue is back in town ripping guys off. She took my money and we had barely even started and she got up and asked me to leave. I was shocked and I asked why and obviously for my money back and she called her girlfriend into the room who threatened to scream. Well, I have seen a lot of girls over the years and I am quite respenctful of them but she takes the cake on a scammer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Thanks for keeping this post updated, considered seeing her after seeing her ad. She is verified as well as walleyejack mentioned which lends credibility to her ads.

Not true. You can direct email but why can’t you create an account? You did here. I’m sure you didn’t use your real name and email address here. So what is the difference?

Do you know want to help stop these ads from appearing on LL?

I reported one scammer who threatened me. LL only removed her ad, but the ad reappeared under a different name. Kind of useless, I think.

You may need to report again. They could have used a different phone number or different email address to create a new account.

Actually, I do have an account, and I do report ads.

But to answer your question about why people don't report links - it's a very high friction process. If you click the report ad link, you get to a sign up/sign in form - there is no email option there. I did just learn that you can email through a form on the support page (good to know) but still you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find the link - it's certainly not obvious. Also, you still need a valid email to report using the form, because they won't process the complaint unless you click a link to confirm you aren't a robot.

The other side is that it's of limited effectiveness against a flat out scammer. If their account gets turfed, then they just pop right back in with another name, number, and bitcoin wallet. This type of fraud detection is HARD, and Leolist isn't motivated to do it at all since it costs them nothing for a scammer to keep paying them under new accounts.

By all means, we should report them anyway - at the very least it takes them off the air for a while. And if it's a bad ad but not a scammer then that's likely to have more effect.

I get what you are saying.

I personally think using the support form is better but it is something that needs to be searched for.

I think it does help if more people do it and to more ads though. The scammer will get more attention and instead of just ad removal from one complaint, multiple complaints make it so the account, IP address, phone number, email address will all get blocked.

but again, I get why guys don’t. I just want to educate because with more guys willing to do it, even with the reasons not to, some scammers may at the very least move on and out of Durham.

Wishful thinking I know.

And this is the kind of stuff that gets much more interest from LE than escorts.
