Not an expert or advocate but this is exactly the murkiness that is "gender identity". To those who are trans-gendered the hormonal makeup is as you describe but that's not how they feel they are. If "she" feels she is female, regardless of birth configuration, I have no idea what that's like. I can't relate (not gay, either) but I will suspend judgment until I do understand much better, which is very likely never. So, respect requires live-and-let-live in these matters as far as I can see.
