Ha ha ha ha! You are funny. I thought about that, but I was asking in general, not industry specific.Hit the "Blog this post" button on Terb and if you get just 1 client then you have made a profit off this website
Although, come to think of it- with over 17,000 hits on my bleep bleep... You might be onto something.
There are many ways:
1. You need to direct taffric from your blog page to another site that will pay you for each visitor. Its generally a fraction of a penny per visit, but if you get millions of visitors, it ads up!
2. This one requirea what is mentioned in #1 and the visitor to the other webpage makes a purchase and you get a commission.
3. You write interesting blogs and develop a mass following. You are know able to flip the web traffic onto you page by selling AD space. The ad space will also apply to #1 and #2.

You don't have to sell your own ads - companies like Google will pay you to host theirs. (search for Google Adsense)
But Google doesn't pay much (I work on a site with a up to a million hits annually and we were making about $20/month from them so it was hardly worth it. There are other companies that pay more - especially if you don't mind hosting porn advertising - check some of the porn sites and see who they use.

How much you can make depends on how popular your site is and how valuable the ad clicks are. You get more money referring clicks that buy a forty thousand dollar car than buy a twenty dollar lipstick. Obviously the low dollar items need high traffic volume to be profitable while the higher dollar items can make money with fewer buyers, same as in real life.
Making money from blogging can be done a number of ways, You can join a blogging system or create your own blog and make money from affiliates. but it boils down to getting traffic and having a mailing list.
