I think if the Bills lose to Jacksonville this Sunday, then Sean McDermott could be fired, as the Bills head coach.

I think that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh could be fired, after the Ravens disappointing loss to the Steelers last night.

Yup..He Gone
From ESPN:
The fan discontent in Baltimore grew throughout a season in which the Ravens went 3-6 at M&T Bank Stadium, which was the worst record at home in franchise history. Harbaugh was booed coming off the field after a 44-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Oct. 5, and there was a large number of empty seats for the final seven home games.

Empty seats affect bottom line and could not be tolerated. That was his downfall

The Pats went from 4-13 under Jerod Mayo to 14-3 under Mike Vrabel with essentially the same team.

Wondering how long Aaron Glenn will last with the Jets after dysfunctionally abysmal 3-14 performance

So me and a few buddies were discussing it and I'm under the impression his leash will be extremely short given that saleh did way more with effectively the same tools and the side of the ball glenn specializes in (defense) has looked historically terrible. Prior to the fields benching they were on pace to have the 4th fewest passing yards of any team since 2000 and the 3rd fewest points on offense (special teams helping them bump that number up quite a bit with all the kick return and fumble return TD's). You know it's a bad team when prior 0-16 teams are doing better than you are, especially compared to now where the rules favor QB's.

A friend of mine went to a game there back in November. He said it was dead. One of the worst sporting events he's attended. Part of the problem is that the city's residents are poor and crime is rampant. The city had been depopulating going from 735K residents in 1991 before stabilizing off at 569K residents in 2025.

The Ravens draw as well from several high income neighborhoods surrounding Baltimore. They have not had a problem filling the stadium when they win.

I'm just repeating myself here. If the Bills lose to Jacksonville this Sunday, then I think that Sean McDermott will definitely be fired. This is the first year in the playoffs, that the Bills don't have to worry about Mahomes, Burrow or Jackson. Also, the Bills are moving into a new stadium next year. Maybe, time for a fresh start if the Bills lose on Sunday.

Also, if the Bills lose this Sunday they might even hire John Harbaugh or Kevin Stefanski, as their new head coach. Ironically, if McDermott is fired by the Bills, then McDermott could become the new head coach of the Ravens.

i don't remember another year where two future hall of famers coaches were fired, John harbaugh and Pete Carroll.

here is an interesying read:

John Harbaugh has been contacted by 7 teams since Ravens firing; only 6 NFL teams have openings.
so teams will fire their incumbents just to make a run for Harbaugh.

The coaching carousel is actually more fun than the games ! not a strong story line this year anyhow.

So one of the rumors circulating is that only 4 of the teams that contacted him are without coaches (raiders, giants, browns, and the titans who are apparently contacting everyone now). There's also another rumor that one of the 3 with coaches was the steelers and that they had planned on firing tomlin had they lost on sunday and will do so unless he has a deep playoff run/wins the superbowl this year. Despite being with the team for 18 years he was kinda in the same situation as harbaugh: tons of success early but has since become a laughingstock despite the decent regular season record.

Tomlin just resigned from Pittsburgh.

It is ironic that among the 4 AFC North teams, it was the most underachieving Bengals who retained their HC (and keeps wasting Burrow's prime), while the three other teams parted ways with two future HOF coaches and an excellent one in stefanski who won COY twice. They probably will find jobs quickly.

TBH, i always thought Tomlin's record was inflated from feasting on the weak Browns and Bengals every year, but still a great HC. He has two years left on his contract, it probably takes at least one 1st and one 3rd round pick for another team to hire him.
