Why? Why should you (your friend) be given a “special”? You clearly don’t have a regular relationship with any agencies or indy, so why should they just give some rando a special? Also are you going to be presenting your (your friends) DL to prove birthday and are you going on your actual birthday or a day or week later?????
Sorry but this is a big pet peeve with many ladies, myself included. Maybe some agencies/indies will do something special for a birthday of an actual regular client but not just some new client looking for a lower price. It is a lowballing tactic. Well maybe, slight maybe, an agencies will for a random newbie but I don’t know any.
I get it is a birthday and a time to celebrate but we don’t know you from Adam. So why would we want to lower our rate for you? Especially when we can get someone else for the full rate. I have given special clients birthday cards, gifts - mainly gas gift cards as they are easy and usually won’t get found out by the wife. But never do I lower my rate and so yeah what you are asking is just complete low ball tactic.
In my opinion. Any random guy that asks me this gets automatically blocked.
I know this is not the answer you wanted but asking for “specials” is the fastest way to bet blocked in this industry. At least with indies.

I have to agree with genesis on this one . You are not entitled to a discount just because it is your birthday ( or your friends birthday ).
Some MPS will give you a free bottle of water on the way out
Tightwads don't celebrate a birthday unless they can get that $10 discount
That being said. It does happen. My atf is famous for giving freebies for various reasons. She once involved me in a pyramid scheme which went south quickly. I didn't want to be involved but she strong armed me. However. She took my shares off my hands and gave me two grands worth of refunds. Sex being the exchange rate. So she's an honest person.
Once, we were texting, cause she liked to chit chat and she mentioned she was going away skiing with her husband on a certain day. I mentioned that was my birthday. She texted "happy birthday". I texted back how about a freebie. ha ha!" She texted back "haha". Then immediately texted again that she would like to give me a freebie for my birthday and to come and see her when she got back. I did, and she did.
This is after years of being a regular.

Personally I love the fun of specials. No 1 is entitled to having a girl dress up for Halloween Or give them a birthday cake when I see the so on the birthday. but if Someone is going to add extra value To make your day better and make you feel special Then you should support that person or agency. Before the pandemic if somebody had a special event that added value I would go out on my way even miles out of my way to support the practice. When I was younger and then that magic time when you also have money I would probably have driven 4 hours to get a free birthday cake with an sp.
The reason main stream biz do these things is the goodwill it generates Which people appreciate way more than actual value of the discount. of when places like seduction fail to live up to there permotion damage can be done in the opposite direction. It will be a long time before I go to seductions.
when a restaurant surprises your party with a birthday treat I know people get really excited. there is the issue of proving your birthday is wise so formal promotions are probably rare ... they have existed but I can see why they are rare.
personally special events etc I think are fun but I'm not gen z.
