There was another thread on this subject that went nowhere.

Tomorrow me and thousands of others who "won" the Bills ticket lottery get to buy between 3 and 8 games (max 8 tickets/game) for between $55 and $295. Limited one time window.

What's everybody else doing? Is this a smart play or are we just suckers?

I'm a long time Bills season's ticket holder. I wouldn't touch the Toronto tickets with a 10 yard first down marker.

The top ticket price at Ralph Wilson is $77 (American). So, for about 5 times the price in Toronto you get:

1. No tailgating (including no open liquor outside the stadium),
2. Seats in an all purpose stadium which are much further from the field (amplified by the smaller dimensions of the NFL field),
3. Crappy, overpriced food (yes, even compared to Ralph Wilson),
4. No field house,
5. Much smaller stadium with no atmosphere (amplified by a neutral crowd), and
6. No outdoor elements for the Miami game (which usually helps the Bills and is a lot of fun to be in the stands for)

Seems to me you're getting 1/2 the product for 5 times the price!

This was always a scheme to get more Argos season's tickets holders. If you love NFL football, take a pass on this.

What's a field house?

I thought the food at the Skydome was better than Ralph Wilson

The field house is the Bills indoor practice facility. Before the game you can amuse yourself in there doing any of:

1. Kick field goals
2. Throw passes to targets
3. Catch passes or punts thrown by machines
4. Watch the pre-game radio show with Jim Kelly
5. Eat free food at the promotional booths
6. Read up on your Bills history
7. Any special promotion they set up

If you've tasted the Wilson food and prefer the Skydome, I'll never hire you as a cook. However, if you're asking the question, the Bills food is clearly superior (and cheaper) than at the Rogers Centre. The best of the bunch is the barbequed ribs and chicken wings trailer in the parking lot.

It could be that he couldn't find anything with maple flavour in it and detected a lack of chip wagons at Wilson ..........

Thanks... Its been years since I went to Ralph Wilson. I only ever got food from the vendors inside the Stadium, and that was not very good. The Skydome is now offering some variety and it was not so bad. The Hard Rock Cafe's food is OK, not great. I didn't even know about the Field House..

OK, I passed.

The offer was 3 games at $300/ticket ie. $1800 for a buddy and me to go to three Bills games. Section 114, 11th row....decent seats, but at these prices I'll go to Buffalo for a game and watch the rest in Hi Def.

Good move.. I was excited that the Bills were coming to Toronto.. but at those prices, its pretty much ridiculous. I think you can get Argos seasons tickets for less than $300.

I bet there will be some type of "tailgating" - the "tailgate party" where they fence you in and allow you to buy beer for something like $7 a can. Anyone who attempts to bring their own will spend the game in a cell at 52 division.

You "won" a chance to pay 300 dollars each for tickets to a pre-season game, and you have to buy them for at least 3 games? [sarcasm]Lucky you.[/sarcasm]
What happens if they don't find as many suckers as they thought they would?

Well, apparently the scheme didn't work then. The entire 500 level will be closed for Argo games this year. It was open last year, even if it was mostly empty.
